Kali
(Kali-Eskrima-Kuntao-Silat)
Kali is the art from the Philippines and is a weapon based art,
sometimes refered to as Escrima, Eskrima, Arnis and Arnis de mano. There
are 12 areas in the kali covering a wide range of weapon and empty hand
training. We at the academy cover at least 10 of these areas of the
"Kali-Eskrima-Kuntao-Silat" as passed down to us. From Guro

In the Filipino Weapons Class, The students will be introduced to,
Single Stick, Double Stick, Knife, Double Knife, Sword and Dagger, Double Dagger, Pocket Stick.
Flexible weapons include the Nunchaku.
And all ranges will be covered, Long Range, Medium and Close Quarter.
Close quarter also incorporates usage of head butts, knees and elbows, close quarter kicking.
Students will be taught Sinawali or weaving stick patterns, Strikes,
Blocks, Deflections, Disarms, Throws and Stick Locks and many other
segments of the art.
All equipment needed is provided by the academy.
Weapon class are taught every Saturday from 12 Noon until 1.30 pm and are only £7 per session.

Steve will take you from beginner to advanced level in an easy to follow and understand method of teaching.
Steve has had over 33 years experience teaching Kali-Escrima and teaches in a way that all areas flow in to one. It will build coordination, timing, dexterity and will greatly improve the empty hand speed and reaction time, and you will have a lot of fun learning this most enjoyable but devastating martial arts.
Steve is a fully certified instructor in The Filipino Martial Arts and weapons instructor.
